Easter weekend in the Netherlands is one of the first bank holidays in the year when people can enjoy nice weather. King’s Day in the Netherlands is definitely something you want to have experienced. Not only does the entire country dress orange (colour of the Royal Family), also the event calendar fills up with orange events. From Vrijmarkten (markets in the street where everybody is allowed to sell their second hand goods) to King’s Day festivals and then there is the visit made by the King and his entourage to one of the cities in the Netherlands.

Ascension Day in the Netherlands is another bank holiday (like Easter) with a religious origin, that nowadays is the perfect reason for many events being organized in the Netherlands. Annual fairs, festivals and cycling tours fill up the calendar of this sunny holiday!
