Tilted cubes, that’s how you can best imagine the Cube Houses in Rotterdam. Placed on the first floor, the Cube Houses represent a forest in Rotterdam, designed by Piet Blom.
The world upside down.
As you’ll notice during your visit, the bottom floor is like a revered pyramid and the top floor like a normal pyramid. You can actually enter one of the Cube Houses, just to experience what it would be like living there.
More recently, 2011, the continuation of the houses was threatened when the nearby theater went up in flames. Fortunately, only one of the houses was declared uninhabitable and you can still enjoy the works of Piet Blom on your city trip to Rotterdam.
