De Hoge Veluwe National Park

An endless list of things to see and do in the Veluwe

Visiting the province Gelderland? Be sure to make a field trip to De Hoge Veluwe National Park. This densely forested area is a popular destination among both the Dutch and foreign tourists to spend (part of) their holidays and offers many opportunities to for activities like cycling and walking through nature.

But also, for example, a visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum, which houses the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world, definitely makes it worth it.

If you’re planning on going with the whole family, also the kids will surely enjoy their time there. Obviously by being in nature, but also the amusement park Koningin Juliana Toren and the Apenheul Primate Park.

Also worth a visit is the underground museum Museonder at the visitor centre of the park! During your journey to the centre of the earth you come across some fascinating discoveries. Like the roots of a 135 year old tree, the remainders of animals that used to live in the area and much much more. An interesting view below the surface of the park!
