For those visitors curious about the history of The Hague, there’s plenty to discover in the Historical Museum of The Hague with its broad collection, diverse exhibitions and plenty of activities.
The collections consist, among others, thousands of pieces like city views throughout the centuries, group portraits of magistrates but also furniture, silverware and even doll houses!
The building that houses the museum is the Sint Sebastiaansdoelen and goes back to the 17th century when it was a shooting range. Since then it has been extensively renovated which allows you to enjoy the history of the city in an equally historical building.
