Build in 1449, the Laurenskerk is the only monument in Rotterdam remaining from the Middel Ages.
The highest tower of the Laurenskerk is 64 meters high and made out of stone. As you can make up from the height, it would be great to enjoy the view from the tower. And you can! From April through October you’re welcome for a climb on Wednesday and Saturday.
Another reason why the church is worth a visit is that it’s a museum where you are guided through the centuries and experience religious objects in stories told. The renovations were done in 1968 but even after that various parts were added by the architect who also designed the Rotterdam Theater.
